Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail Patch Schedule

Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail releases on June 28 into early access, and from July 2 for everyone else, but we can expect many players to be anticipating future patches already. Thankfully, FFXIV has a very consistent level of updates and events to keep players going, and below we’ve put together a complete patch schedule for Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail.

Please note, some of these dates are speculative or unconfirmed, and in which case will only have a month, rather than a full date.

When Does the 7.0 Patch Release for Final Fantasy XIV?

Final Fantasy XIV went into maintenance for the release of Dawntrail on June 26. During this 48 hour maintenance, players won’t be able to access the game.

The 7.0 Patch will release at different times for different players. If you have Early Access for Dawntrail, then the patch will release on July 28, at approximately 2:00am PDT. (9:00am GMT). For everyone else, the patch will update on July 2. 

When Does the 7.01 Patch Release for Final Fantasy XIV?

The first update for Dawntrail, patch 7.01, will release on July 16, and will feature the new raid, The Arcadion.

When Does the 7.05 Patch Release for Final Fantasy XIV?

Dawntrail patch 7.05, will release on July 16, and will feature The Arcadion (Savage), and the treasure hunt instance Cenote Ja Ja Gural

When Does the 7.1 Patch Release for Final Fantasy XIV?

The first mainline patch for Dawntrail will be 7.1, and will feature the first part of the Echoes of Vana’diel story and raid series, as well as the Futures Rewritten (Ultimate) in 7.11. This patch is expected to be released in November 2024.

Final Fantasy XIV Patch Release Timings

Final Fantasy XIV releases its main patches (X.1, X.2, X.3, etc.) every four months. In the meantime, it releases smaller patches with additional content.
