WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg spoke with Eyes on the Game at the Olympia Expo where the former Universal champion talked about UFC star Cain Velasquez, and his recent transition into professional wrestling. Goldberg, drawing from his own experiences, praises Velasquez for making the jump, stating that the industry is a good fit for someone with such an athletic background.

Cain’s doing great. I saw a little bit of the coverage of his match, and you know, put it this way, anyone in professional sports who was in that sport for a lifelong dream like myself, play football, that’s all I ever wanted to do, it’s a great alternative, this wrestling business offers a lot, it really does. And for guys who are high-level professional athletes to try and make the transition, especially with what Cain knows and what he’s done in the past, it’s a perfect, easy transition. I’m not gonna say easy, but it’s easier than someone who’s never done anything like that before.

Goldberg would later go on to say that he’d love to face Velasquez in the ring.

I’d wrestle Cain in the ring in two seconds. I’d wrestle anybody, you know who I am. But I’m just saying, he’s got a lot of potential, and it’s really cool.
