Is MultiVersus Available and Still Updates on PS4?

Is MultiVersus available on PS4? The title is free to play and one of the most widely available games. However, at this point, the older gen of consoles are beginning to look a bit outdated. MultiVersus has only fully released in 2024, where most games have moved on to being PS5-exclusive on the PlayStation platform. What about this title though?

Since MultiVersus had a beta period in which it was still widely available, things get a bit muddled. The game might have been officially released in 2024, but a good part of the MultiVersus player count joined the game back in 2022. Then, most consoles were still supported by new releases. Is MultiVersus on PS4 and are there any restrictions for playing on older hardware?

Is MultiVersus on PS4?

MultiVersus is available on loads of different platforms. Naturally, there’s PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. The game is also available on older consoles too! The answer to is MultiVersus on PS4 is yes, it’s also on Xbox One.

The only platform the game isn’t really available on is Nintendo Switch. Outside of that, the game is available on all consoles.

When the title first launched in Open Beta, it was on Unreal Engine 4 which ran very smoothly on PlayStation 4. The game has now shifted over to Unreal Engine 5. It still performs well on PS4 though. While you won’t be playing on the most advanced hardware it’s available on, you shouldn’t see a major decline in your performance for MultiVersus on PS4 compared to other platforms.

Does The Game Play Well on PS4?

MultiVersus still plays great on PS4! The title might be on more recent hardware too, but it seems like PS4 is still being supported for quite a while to come. There’s no indication that the developers are planning on ditching the platform. Most MultiVersus updates will probably come to PS4 in the future too.
