TMZ caught up with Jerry Lawler to get his thoughts on attending Donald Trump’s rally. Jerry defended himself by stating that he was merely there to support a fellow WWE Hall of Famer.

On Why He Was There:

Donald Trump was in Memphis, right near by hometown. I was asked by some people to go, so I went. I was not there to support Donald Trump the president, but rather to support my fellow Hall of Famer.

On the Reaction to His Presence.

I received actual hate mail on social media just for going to the rally of Donald Trump.

On Whether or Not He Thinks Donald Trump Could Return to the Ring:

I wouldn’t doubt it. He did pretty good the first time.
