Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler reportedly set to reunite in WWE

PWInsider.com are reporting that Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler will be the lead announcers for WWE’s Greatest Royal Rumble event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on 27 April.

Lawler revealed the plans on the latest episode of his “Dinner With The King” podcast, and the legend also shared his excitement over reuniting with JR for the first time since Raw 25. There, the iconic announce duo were fed scraps at the Manhattan Center, so it’s hoped they’ll be able to set things right on the upcoming WWE Network special.

The show is a big deal to WWE. Internally, the Greatest Royal Rumble special is viewed as the beginning of a 10-year partnership with Vision 2030 (Saudi Arabia’s social and economic reform program). The promotion are also reportedly in line to pocket a nice chunk of change for promoting events in the country.

Seven title matches have already been pencilled in for the show, and it looks like WWE will go all out to ensure it’s a success. Bringing in the beloved JR and King duo is part of that process.

Fans who miss their timeless banter and didn’t think Raw 25 made the most of them should start rejoicing.
