JON JONES will finally get his hands on Brock Lesnar.
The wheels for a super-fight between the pair were well and truly in motion in July after Jones defeated Daniel Cormier in the main event of UFC 214 and called out the former UFC heavyweight champion.
“Brock Lesnar,” Jones said moments after emphatically KO’ing Cormier.
“If you want to know what it’s like to get your a** kicked by a guy who weighs 40lbs less than you, meet me in the Octagon.”
A failed drug test for Jones well and truly put paid to those plans, much to the disappointment of many.
But fans needn’t be sad for too long as the pair will meet one another in the main event of Wrestlemania 34.
However, they won’t be wrestling one another, they’ll be taking part in an arm wrestling match.
Jones, who is currently awaiting punishment for his second anti-doping violation, dropped the bombshell in a tweet late last night.
“I will be taking Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 34,” he wrote. “I’ve been dying to get my hands on Brock for years.
“And in a few days time, I’ll get the chance to show the world that I’m the baddest man in the UFC and the WWE, without even throwing a punch.
Despite never weighing significantly less than Lesnar, Jones is confident he will upset the WWE’s Universal Champion.
“Hey may weigh significantly more than me, but I know I’ve got what it takes to beat Brock,” he said.
“His name will soon be added to my long long list of victims.”
Jones’ last-minute appearance at Wrestlemania hasn’t officially announced by the WWE brass.
But that could be because he’s never entertained the idea of competing in wrestling premier promotion.
