The former WCW star bowled over Kevin Owens at Sunday’s Fastlane pay-per-view to claim the Universal Championship. Goldberg will now head into his WrestleMania 33 collision with Brock Lesnar standing under the spotlight with gold in his hand.
Chicago’s Allstate Arena will host as Goldberg celebrates his title win, and the build toward WrestleMania 33 on April 2 will begin in earnest.
Thanks to what unfolded at Fastlane, Raw is also set to feature an enraged Braun Strowman, a cruiserweight rematch from the Royal Rumble and a crowded women’s title picture. A surprise return could be in the works, as well, which would help wipe the bad taste of Fastlane out of fans’ mouths.
Who will show up in Chicago? What direction will the red brand’s stories go? The Raw preview on WWE.com, backstage news and social media updates help provide some insight ahead of the show.
The first Raw with Goldberg as champ will kick off on Monday at 8 p.m. ET on USA Network.
