Kurt Angle did a Q&A on his Facebook on Friday afternoon. Angle answered questions about drug addiction, WWE accomplishments, Team Angle, Angle slamming Mae Young, his favorite female wrestler, and more.

 

Question: What advice do u have to someone battling addiction?

Kurt Angle: Grow up. Abusing drugs is childish. Take responsibility and realize that you can’t live this way or you won’t live much longer. There is more to life than being high all of the time. It’s not easy staying clean but if you do it, others will take notice. When you’re clean, you’re never alone. People want to be around you. When you’re high, people don’t want to affiliate with a drug addict, unless they are an addict. Take it one day at a time and remember that being clean and fighting your addiction puts you in an unprecedented class. There are millions of addicts. 10% go to rehab. Of those 10%, only 5% stay in recovery. That means if you’re staying clean, you’re in that less than 1% that are in recovery. I find it very rewarding that I’m in that class. I’m very proud of it.

Question: What is your favorite thing about working for WWE?

Kurt Angle: I loved coming to work. Raw or Smackdown. I enjoyed entertaining the fans, especially when I got to do the funny stuff and the heel stuff.

Question: Do you have any tips for an 18 year old wanting to train to be a wrestler?

Kurt Angle: Yes. Go to college first and graduate. You can train while attending college. Always have a back up plan. You won’t regret it.

Question: What is the best Thing you have ever accomplished in WWE ?

Kurt Angle: Proving to everyone that a “shooter” or “real wrestler” could be the best entertainer of his era. I was very proud of what I was able to accomplish, whether I was loved or hated.

Question: Do you miss the old times in wwe like the team angle days?

Kurt Angle:  I truly miss Team Angle…it didn’t last as long as it deserved. But, I miss the matches I was able to have with Shawn, Eddie, Brock, Benoit, Big Show, HHH, Rock, Austin, Taker, Cena, Mysterio, Orton and many more. I never like to toot my own horn but between 2001-2006, I had to be the most versatile athlete in WWE. I was very proud of that.

Question: For a Team Angle reunion, would you like to team with Benjamin & Gable since Haas has retired?

Kurt Angle: Why not bring them all in? Gable. Jordan. Shelton. Charlie. The more the merrier:)

Question: How did it feel to angle slam an 82 year old mae young?

Kurt Angle: I didn’t want to! But Mae came to me before the show and said to me “spike my ass hard. Don’t take it easy”. I didn’t know what to say. So, I did what she told me to do.

Question: beatles or rolling stones?

Kurt Angle: Stones. Love Mick Jagger. I met him in England. I totally marked out when I saw him. He was so nice. I screamed “Mick Jagger, it’s you”. He said “Hey Kurt, how you doing?” I said, “Wait. You know who I am????”

Question: Who is ur favorite female wrestler of all time?

Kurt Angle: Chyna. She broke the barrier for women to not only show their wrestling skills, but she competed with men. She’s the true pioneer.
