AJ Styles defeated Luke Harper to become the number one contender for the WWE Championship. Then they had Randy Orton cut a phenomenal promo on Bray Wyatt where he basically said to Bray that he was coming for his WWE Championship belt as well. As of this writing, the WWE Championship will be a triple threat match between Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles. This was a surprise to people as they figured that it would be Luke Harper being put in that spot. While Harper won’t be in the main event of WrestleMania, people shouldn’t expect to see AJ Styles in there as well as he is set to fight Shane McMahon. So more than likely we are getting Orton vs Wyatt for the WWE Championship.
what does WWE do with Luke Harper? While it seemed that he was getting this push to the main event scene of Smackdown, it seems that Vince McMahon has decided to not put him the match and change the story up a bit. As it will be played out on TV over the next few weeks, we could see Luke Harper realign with Bray Wyatt and have Harper play it off to the extent that he knew that Orton would turn on Wyatt at some point.
This makes me shake my head that WWE won’t let Luke Harper go on as a singles wrestler. When Luke Harper was on the independent scene, he was a great in-ring worker. The Wyatt family came into the WWE around the same time as the Shield and all three members of the Shield have gone off to have great runs in the main event position. It seems that WWE doesn’t feel that any of the original members of the Wyatt Family are able to be on their own.
Being that WrestleMania is only a few weeks away, it will be interesting to see how the story lines play out on RAW and Smackdown Live. Stay tuned to the Inscriber Digital Magazine as we will keep you up to date on the latest surrounding the WWE’s biggest stage.
