Ahead of her SmackDown Women’s Championship match against Asuka at WWE Fastlane 2019, Mandy Rose spoke with Lyle Carr of The Mirror to promote the big pay-per-view on Sunday night at the Quicken Loans Arena.

During the interview, the former WWE Tough Enough contestant spoke about gearing up for her first singles match on a WWE pay-per-view event, her aspirations to restore “relevance” to the SmackDown Women’s Championship and feeling like she could be “The Woman” of WWE.

Featured below are some of the highlights from the interview.

On if she feels the pressure, or thrives on it, heading into big moments like her SmackDown Women’s Championship match against Asuka at tonight’s WWE Fastlane PPV:

“Yeah, I definitely feel the pressure. Coming up this Sunday is my first singles match on a pay-per-view, and there’s a lot of pressure for me to perform. Obviously I know that I’m ready and I know what I’m capable of, I have the confidence and I know I’m going to do my best to win that SmackDown Women’s Title.”

On being confident that she can restore ‘relevance’ to the SmackDown Women’s Championship if she captures the title at WWE Fastlane, and feeling like she could be a mainstream media crossover Superstar for WWE:

“I feel like in general that if Mandy Rose won the title, it would be more relevant. I have what it takes to be that mainstream woman on every billboard, on every poster, on every talk show. I would make it relevant again because unfortunately sometimes this happens, and there can be more talk of one brand than the other.”

On feeling like there’s a spot open for her to be “The Woman,” since Becky Lynch has snatched up “The Man” moniker:

“Mandy Rose, she has ‘IT’. I truly believe that the title belongs around my waist, that I will make it more relevant again. I’m the superstar that would go on Good Morning America, and represent WWE as a company as a whole and be their woman. I know we already have ‘The Man’ [Becky Lynch] but I could be ‘The Woman’!”
