On the latest episode of “Busted Open Radio”, Mark Henry discussed why he believes that it is inevitable that C.M. Punk returns to wrestling. Here is what he had to say:
The biggest part of that reason is because I know how much he loves wrestling. The issue with wrestling and Punk is that there are guys outside there in the wrestling world outside at that time, like Colt Cabana, who is really good and I like … and he felt like, ‘Wow. That guy can’t get a shot?’ It’s like any other sport, you’ve got the starting five and the other seven on the bench. Sometimes on pro wrestling there are guys on the bench that shouldn’t be on the bench. Punk didn’t like that and wanted the best people out there. If they’re good then the fans will love them for being good.
Punk was very competitive. He knew who was on the card and didn’t want to have a match that he would dummy down. He wanted to steal it because he can tell a better match than they can. Punk is a coach. If he works with someone less experienced then he [works with them] and gives you confidence in the ring.
