The safety signed back with the Bengals this offseason.
The Cincinnati Bengals have something to prove this coming season as they look to bounce back after missing the playoffs last year.
Although injuries plagued the offense last year, the team returns the superstar power to compete in the league immediately. The question marks come on the defensive side of the ball.
With a bunch of young talent, the free agency signing of Vonn Bell is one that will help add some veteran experience to the secondary.
Plenty of those around the franchise are excited to add Bell back to the roster, including veteran cornerback Mike Hilton.
Hilton recently talked with Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com about Bell’s return and is excited to get back to playing his game:
“With Vonn back, for me personally, having that extra voice at my rear, it takes a lot off my shoulders and lets me settle down and play my game,” Hilton said. “Another voice who knows the system and knows how to win.”
After a season with the Carolina Panthers, Lou Anarumo and his defensive staff are going to lean on Bell to help propel this team back to the top of the AFC. Pairing him alongside Jordan Battle, Hilton, Cam Taylor-Britt, and others is going to help bolster this pass defense.
