As noted earlier this week that Bray Wyatt is being advertised locally to face either Braun Strowman or Seth Rollins for the Universal champion at Hell in a Cell. Often, the local advertisements are done well in advance and don’t always reflect the current storylines, but this doesn’t appear to be the case. The Bray Wyatt vs Universal Champion match is being described by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio as legit and not a gimmick to sell tickets for the local crowd.
Yesterday, As reported that Braun Strowman acknowledged the advertisement over Twitter in an exchange with his former mentor Bray Wyatt. WWE talent do not usually acknowledge local ads unless the match is taking place. Many people see this as confirmation that the match is guaranteed to take place.
Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman are pulling double duty at Class of the Champions. First, the two will be partnering together to face Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode for the Tag Team championships. Afterwards, the partners will be facing each other one on one for the Universal championship. There is speculation that Bray Wyatt could do a run-in during or after the match to set up the feud for Hell in a Cell. The match will take place October 6th.
