New Japan Pro Wrestling has released a new character profile for Jon Moxley acknowledging all of his accolades from his tenure in the indies and with WWE. The profile also details Moxley’s background as a brawler, and compares him to a young Roddy Piper in terms of mic-ability.
Jon Moxley has made a huge impact upon the wrestling industry, adept in many styles, but earned his reputation as a wild brawler, reminiscent of many hardcore legends. And although not acknowledged as such, he is a true dark horse in the industry both on camera and behind the scenes. Whose microphone skills are reminiscent and rival that of a young Roddy Piper and in-ring ability has captured a worldwide fanbase.
He is a WWE Grand slam Champion, holding multiple major titles including , WWE Raw Tag Team Championship (twice), HWA Heavyweight Championship (three times), HWA Tag Team Championship (five times), FIP World Heavyweight Championship (once), CZW World Heavyweight Championship (twice), IWA World Tag Team Championship (once), wXw World Tag Team Championship (once).
This comes shortly after NJPW announced Moxley versus Juice Robinson for the IWGP United States championship on the final day of the BOSJ tournament.
