British star Paige has opened up on her role as a mentor to fellow WWE superstars.
And such is her reputation backstage, the 25-year-old is called “Mum”.
Paige suffered an injury to her surgically repaired neck in December but she remains an integral member and will represent Absolution at WrestleMania 34 this weekend.
And ahead of the event in New Orleans, she opened up on her role and the growing number of Brits in the organisation.
“I’ve been wrestling for 13 years. But I’m still one of the youngest girls – and yet the girls still call me ‘Mum’,” she told Mirror Sport in New Orleans.
“It’s cool because even the older girls come to me before and after their matches and ask, ‘What did you think?’
“Even sometimes I will pitch ideas. Some take them… but then some of them don’t.
“If they want they can always come to me. Mandy (Rose) and Sonya (Deville) are always asking questions.
“I love that there are a bunch of Brits here.
“When I first came, it was small. I was the first Brit in developmental, I think. And everyone was like, ‘Your accent is weird’.
“But there are lots now. So maybe I did do something right.”
