The Colts offensive line is highly regarded once again as one of the league’s best offensive lines—returning all five starters for this upcoming season.

According to PFF, the Indianapolis Colts have the NFL’s third best offensive line entering the 2024 season:

3. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

The Colts’ offensive tackle duo is arguably the best in the league, as left tackle Bernhard Raimann and right tackle Braden Smith each finished among the seven highest-graded offensive tackles in 2023. Veteran Ryan Kelly put together the best season of his career as the highest-graded center in pass protection. Continuity is also on the Colts offensive line’s side, as all five starting offensive linemen return for 2024.

After a few seasons of down production, one of the league’s highest paid offensive lines units returned into becoming a very formidable blocking front-five overall again.

Last year’s new arrival at offensive line coach, Tony Sparano Jr., likely played a pivotal role in the Colts offensive line unit’s ‘return to glory—with a new blocking mantra, methodology, and much needed energy from a coaching perspective.

However, the Colts’ o-line also collectively got healthier, and they had a career renaissance from former Pro Bowl center Ryan Kelly, Bernhard Raimann continued to emerge as a solid young starting left tackle, and Will Fries finally solidified a right guard spot which had been at issue since veteran starter Mark Glowinski departed in free agency two years ago.

All-Pro Quenton Nelson appeared a bit healthier at left guard, and when Braden Smith wasn’t limited by injuries, he remained one of the best starting right tackles in all of football.

Given the continuity here and where they left off the 2023 season, and it makes sense as to why the Colts are highly regarded as a Top 5 NFL offensive line unit here. There’s the ideal combination of veteran experience, talent, and still some youthful players breaking out.
