Earlier this week, the WWE made their decision to keep WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia despite tremendous external pressure to cease doing business with the Saudi Arabian regime.
According to Dave Meltzer’s most recent edition of “The Wrestling Observer”, one of the reasons that the WWE didn’t move the show was that there was a lack of reasonable options should they have chosen to do so.
The biggest option being discussed was to move the show to Manchester on either 11/03 or 11/04. However, that option, although feasible, was said to be a “logistical nightmare”. The other option was to move the event to the United States on a date later in the month. However, any venue that could house a card the magnitude of Crown Jewel has been booked out for far longer in advance than a month.
