Inside the Rope’s Kenny McIntosh released a lengthy Instagram post earlier today to give a special thanks to the Undertaker and Mick Foley for keeping his Rise of the Taker tour alive. McIntosh details the horrific journey he had putting the event together due to WWE not allowing Taker to participate, but reveals that the Deadman personally talked to Vince McMahon about honoring his dates. This led to Mick Foley covering for one night of the tour, sharing stories about Taker, and taking part in meet-and-greets.

The last few weeks have been tougher than I could’ve ever imagined. My biggest tour almost went bust. If Taker hadn’t come over, ITR would have been done. Thanks to the Dead Man legit flying to meet Vince McMahon to tell him he had to come and fulfil this commitment to the amazing Mick Foley stepping in, we were able to power forward and try to make the best of it. This pic represents the first public appearance of these two in years. Maybe since the early 2000s. It makes me well up that we pulled it off and this represents that. It wasn’t what I wanted it to be. I was heartbroken. I’m still pretty devastated but I’m so proud of what we came up with. For everyone who bought an urn, or got a belt made or told me it was all that was keeping them going, I made myself ill, almost had a breakdown and fought harder than I ever have before to get these shows to go ahead. These two guys went to bat for me. To everyone who has been kind and said thanks, I appreciate you so very much. I get to keep doing my dream job. I think we nailed these shows given the circumstances. This went from being my big break to a disaster to maybe being the most creative thing I ever came up with. Our team will continue to work through refunds, we’ll dust ourselves off and be back in May in Vegas with@dustinrhodestx then UK and Ireland with @bookertfivex THANK YOU! ⚱️#RiseOfTheTaker#TalesFromHell #InsideTheRopes#wrestling
