AEW rolled into Chicago’s Wintrust Arena on Weds., July 3 for yesterday’s episode of Dynamite, where they also taped tomorrow’s (July 5) episode of Rampage.
On Dynamite, AEW announced a semi-final match in the women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, a battle of luchadors, and more for Friday night’s show. Let’s see how the results panned out, courtesy of spoilers from PWInsider and Cagematch:
- RUSH def. Komander via pinfall
- The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher) def. Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen)
- Kyle O’Reilly def. GPA. Roderick Strong was on commentary. Undisputed Kingdom tried to celebrate with O’Reilly after his win, but he walked off.
- Mariah May def. Hikaru Shida via pinfall in an Owen Hart Tournament semifinal match. May will face Willow Nightingale in the finals on next Wednesday’s Dynamite, with a shot at the AEW Women’s World title held by her mentor-with-benefits Timeless Toni Storm.
Looking forward to Friday’s show, Cagesiders?
