Is it Matthew Stafford’s contract situation, Jared Goff’s success in Detroit, or something else?

Whenever Turf Show Times has posted an update about the Matthew Stafford contract situation, which essentially means at this point that the negotiations have been addressed in the media BY Stafford or Sean McVay or Les Snead or someone else with the team, there is always some pushback from fans who say that there’s “too much” content about it. In preparation for this story and looking for our most recent story about Stafford’s contract, I had to scroll all the way back to June 11th, which was Blaine Grisak’s assessment that in his opinion the terms will be settled before the season.

It’s been almost a month since our last story about Stafford’s contract and this isn’t even a story about Stafford’s contract either. This is a story about you, Rams fans.

In today’s Rams reverse Q and A (which I’m attempting to shorten today by calling it an A & Q), where I ask the questions and readers give the answers (because fans are just as worthy of being called “Rams experts” as most experts), your answer could be that the most annoying current storyline or narrative surrounding the team is Stafford’s non-holdout disgruntlement over his contract terms.

Look, if Matthew Stafford is serious about wanting his 2025 season guaranteed, and if the Rams are not serious about giving to him, that IS a potentially looming serious situation. That’s why it can’t be ignored—even if we haven’t actually posted about it in a month. The reason some of you might find it very annoying though is that a) no actual news has happened regarding the situation, only Stafford and McVay acknowledging that there is an ongoing negotiation, and b) it’s probably going to get settled anyway.

The Rams have thrown away a lot worse money than guaranteeing a year for their quarterback, so I would assume this will be a piece of cake.

But maybe Stafford isn’t the most annoying Rams storyline or narrative for you. Maybe it’s updates on Jared Goff with the Detroit Lions, another point of contention with some fans. Or it could be Aaron Donald’s retirement and unsettled possibility that he could return at some point. Or whether or not the Rams still need some help going into the season, an issue that raised a lot of comments last week when it was posited by JB Scott that L.A. could use another receiver capable of starting.

No matter your beef, we’ll find out in the comments below.

I’ll post SIX questions in the comments about the most annoying storylines surrounding the Rams, either now or ever, and you provide the answers. Or just read the answers and decide for yourself if you agree or not.

What are the most annoying storylines and narratives involving the L.A. Rams?
