Braden Fiske reportedly will be putting in some work this offseason with the one and only Aaron Donald. Can’t hurt right? Fiske will be expected to perform right away because the Los Angeles Rams traded up for him, but I think people should be prepared to be patient with this young man as well. He doesn’t have to figure it all out in his first year. Any chance Fiske can encourage Donald to come out of retirement? Asking for a friend.

“Fiske was never teammates with Donald, but he has spoken to the former Ram since joining the team and has plans “to get some workouts in during the next couple of weeks before training camp.” Fiske has one big lesson down before any meeting, however.

“I have to be me,” Fiske said, via DJ Siddiqi of Forbes. “I have to build my own legacy and that’s what I’m looking forward to. I don’t feel like I’m really filling shoes, but I have to create my own shoes. That’s kind of what it is. I’m just excited to be a part of it and I know that’ll kind of always be the comparison of who’s going to fill his shoes, but somebody has to do it.”

“Although there are big shoes to fill, Fiske isn’t too worried about the pressure and expectations that comes along with replacing the G.O.A.T.

“Big shoes to fill – we’re talking about the greatest ever. I’ve said it countless times – it’s the G.O.A.T,” says Fiske of Donald in an exclusive one-on-one interview. “I full-heartedly feel that way about him and we’ve had small conversations — that’s been cool. It is what it is. I don’t think you ever replace the G.O.A.T. I have to go out there and do what I do.”

Rams News: How LA Tackled Key Position This Offseason (si.com)

“Los Angeles has the tools to be just that, especially with their pieces on offense. The Rams offense was elite last season, and they’ll look to be even better this fall. Matthew Stafford is the engine that keeps this team and offense going. While that may be the case, he still needs the others to step up in their role, including the wide receivers. The Rams wide receiver group, led by All-Pros Puka Nacua and Copper Kupp, could show why they are the best wide receiver duo in the league. However, the burden can’t be soley put on Nacua and Kupp. The others must step up, including Demarcus Robinson, Tutu Atwell, and possibly rookie Jordan Whittington.”

“Taken by the Rams in the fifth round of last year’s draft, not a lot of people thought that he’d go from an unknown downfield weapon into a Pro Bowler.

Now, every NFL fan knows who Nacua is. Even his teammate’s son has a nickname for him.

Cooper Kupp and his wife, Anna Kupp, revealed during a recent episode of their Daily Grind podcast that their son, Cypress, calls Nacua “Puka Dot.”
