Randy Orton once again has fans speculating on the motive behind a social media post he made this week.

The exchange began with tweets from SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Revival, who were responding to how Orton was drafted to RAW in the 2019 WWE Draft. Orton and The Revival have been teaming together on SmackDown for part of the summer.

Scott Dawson wrote, “What SHOULD’VE been! Thank you, Randy. We’ll see ya down the road. #FTRKO #TopGuys @RandyOrton @DashWilderWWE”

Dash Wilder re-tweeted Dawson’s tweet and photo, and wrote, “What WILL be. Eventually.”

Orton then re-tweeted the comment from Dash and wrote, “2020”

Orton didn’t elaborate but fans are speculating that this is a reference to his WWE contract reportedly expiring in 2020. It was reported earlier this week, via Fightful, that The Viper’s current WWE contract expires in the summer of 2020.

The obvious speculation from fans is that Orton is teasing a jump to AEW with The Revival, who also are expected to leave WWE next year for a rumored run in AEW. There’s no word yet on if Orton is really planning on leaving WWE, or if he’s just working fans on Twitter.

We noted earlier how Orton really fueled the AEW rumors with a recent Instagram “ELITE” post. Back in February we reported, via Fightful, on Orton openly discussing his willingness to speak with AEW. Y
