According to Dave Meltzer, the only reason Ember Moon was pinned on WWE Smackdown is because the WWE officials didn’t want every RAW superstar losing during the show. AJ Styles and Drew McIntyre were already set to lose their matches. They didn’t want the fans thinking that the show was going to be one-sided.

At the end of the match, Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross defeated Bayley and Ember Moon cleanly with her Twisted Bliss moonsault. This move is seen as baffling by people watching as Ember Moon is supposed to be facing Bayley at SummerSlam for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
