As noted last night, Vince McMahon wasn’t at RAW. The show was headed by Triple H, Kevin Dunn, and Raw Executive Director Paul Heyman. We’re hearing now that Vince will not be at Smackdown either.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Vince McMahon has taken the week off from traveling with the WWE to concentrate on his XFL conference this Wednesday. Vince is expected to be announcing all the teams and their logos at the conference. The XFL is set to include 8 franchises from different towns. The XFL is expected to start early next year.

It’s currently unknown if new Executive Director Eric Bischoff will be helping to run Smackdown from Sioux Falls, South Dakoda tonight in Vince McMahon’s absense. In previous weeks, it has been reported that Eric is still easing into his new position.
