Rey Mysterio’s return date from injury revealed

REY MYSTERIO will be back from injury in a month.

Mysterio made a shock return at the Royal Rumble two months ago but his comeback was only a one-night thing.

Rumours suggested that his stunning appearance would lead to a return to Vince McMahon’s company but a recent arm injury seems to have delayed those plans.

The three-time world champion suffered a partial bicep tear while wrestling for Northeast Wrestling.

The Master of the 619 was supposed to meet WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative Triple H after the show but it is yet unknown whether the two legends have spoken yet.

It is also unclear whether the injury puts a possible WWE deal in jeopardy.

According to the publisher and editor of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Dave Meltzer, the ex-WWE Champion will miss a month of action and he will probably not appear in New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Long Beach show in two weeks.

Meltzer said: “He was in Lexington yesterday and he said he would be out of action for one month. Now the long Beach show is two weeks from today and he said he didn’t know.

“At least I am going to say it’s touch and go. It may just be go. We’ll probably know in a day or two. I think he may wait until the end because he probably has this idea.

“If he can possibly do it because it’s New Japan then he will do it, but I think there is a recognition that he may not be ready in time.”
