Dwayne Johnson may appear in Suicide Squad 2 as Black Adam before the character gets his own solo film in 2020. Suicide Squad 2 is currently scheduled to release October of next year.
Dwayne Johnson’s superhero movie Black Adam has apparently landed a screenwriter.
The Rock’s Black Adam was originally planned to be in the DCEU movie Shazam, which recently cast Thor star Zachary Levi, but it was confirmed in July that Black Adam won’t be in that movie.
The Black Adam movie will introduce the fallen god into the DC Extended Universe, so there’s every chance that he will cross paths with Shazam at some point in the future if the movies prove successful.
Johnson has spoken to Digital Spy about his decision to play Black Adam and not Shazam, despite being given the choice.
