“We hope that Novak Djokovic can continue to break all records. I hope Andy Murray can play as much as his hip allows and he’s still hungry. Rafael Nadal knew he was also in a difficult situation and hopes to win as much as possible”.

Roger Federer reflects on his career

On this question from the South African conductor, Roger Federer paused and said: “Yes and above all, when I saw the final of Roland Garros with Alcaraz and Zverev in 5 sets chasing each other back and forth, I said to myself: ‘I also did that’

I did it many times. We were talking about how I had played 1526 games and I realized I had done many marathons. I’m so relieved I don’t have to face them anymore. I mean, it was fun but mostly towards the end I remember the warm-up, the breaks and still the warm-up to go out and play.

It was a monumental effort. Now you say, ‘What’s so important? It’s just tennis’.

Now I feel really relieved and I see every athlete or every person who gives the highest level that has all my respect,” stressed in the podcast, speaking with open hearts to fans.

Recently, Roger Federer gave a long interview on behalf of the Gazzetta dello Sport and talked about several topics including the new rivalry between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz: “This is good news for tennis.

It is fantastic that there is an Italian player ranked first. There are many very good tennis players from this country, with Cobolli, Nardi, Arnaldi, Musetti, Sonego, Berrettini, Sinner.”
