On the road to headlining another WrestleMania card Roman Reigns is still having to answer questions about past steroid allegations. Back in Jan., Reigns issued a statement to Cageside Seats and other outlets about the public accusations of steroid use from filmmaker Jon Bravos as well as Miami gym owner Richard Rodriguez.
Today (Mar. 16) Reigns appeared on the Jim and Sam Show on SiriusXM Channel 103 to promote WrestleMania 34 and the announcement of the location for WrestleMania 35. During the extended interview, Reigns was asked by Sam Roberts about the accusations from earlier in the year.
Specifically, Roberts asked if Reigns is able to tune out news like this or if it is a distraction to him.
“I think its a little bit of both. At one point this like ‘who is this’? Where is this coming from? What did I do? What the heck is going on? I’m just sitting at home playing with my kids, feeding babies, changing diapers and doing Dad stuff. Then all of sudden this happens. I think its just a good lesson of where we’re at and if you have any kind of media or social media presence or, essentially my Twitter is a billboard. You know what I mean and unfortunately some people want to use it in a positive fashion or negative.”
Reigns continued
“At the same time its one of those deals where, I know me. I know what I’ve done. I know what the truth is. You kind of got to have a bulletproof mentality, these little things are ricocheting off me.”
Roman Reigns is subject to testing under the WWE’s own Wellness Policy. In June 2016, Reigns was suspended by the WWE but has not suffered any other setbacks from the company since.
