Ronda Rousey might end up being a Heyman girl

Rumors have been circulating around Ronda Rousey since her appearance at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view. One of the latest rumors is that the WWE is seriously considering putting Rousey in the care of Paul Heyman.

Rousey just recently signed a full-time contract with WWE and it appears the former UFC icon could soon have Paul Heyman as her advocate. Heyman is a legendary advocate and one of the best talkers in the business. Heyman currently manages Brock Lesnar, who is the Raw Universal Champion.

This won’t be the first time that the big-hearted Heyman has gone out of his way to mentor WWE talent. In the past, Heyman has helped CM Punk, Big Show, and Rob Van Dam.

After months of training in secret, WWE feels that Heyman is the best choice to help transition Rousey from a UFC fighter to a WWE wrestler.

Since Lesnar is only a part-time superstar it won’t be difficult for Heyman to add Rousey to his schedule. Earlier last year, Heyman was a guest on the Fight Society podcast and he discussed Rousey’s potential if she decided to give a career with WWE a shot.

“I think the WWE audience would embrace Ronda Rousey with open arms. Just her name recognition alone is huge. It doesn’t matter her past two experiences in UFC. All that matters is if she got involved in a story that people could relate to and could sink their teeth into and get excited about,” Heyman said during the podcast.

Many fans are speculating who Rousey’s first competition will be. Heyman already knows who he’d love to see Rousey face.

“I would personally pay to see Charlotte versus Ronda Rousey. I would personally pay to see Stephanie McMahon versus Ronda Rousey for a completely different reason but why digress. I think Ronda Rousey doing anything in WWE is a natural fit. I’d love to see it and would be happy to discuss with her all of the benefits that she could inure by being a Paul Heyman girl,” Heyman shared.

There is no doubt that Heyman’s promos and skills on the microphone have helped elevate Brock Lesnar to greatness. “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey’s WWE career could greatly benefit by working with the legendary Paul Heyman.
