For weeks it has been rumored that AJ Styles would be defending the United States title at Clash of Champions on September 15th, but no one has been officially announced as an opponent. We may finally have our answer this week after Cedric Alexander pinned AJ Styles for a clean win during a 10-man tag match I’m Raw. In the final minutes of the show, AJ Styles attempted to hit the Phenomenal Forearm but Alexander reversed it into the Lumbar Check for the win.

It is believed that Cedric Alexander will be named the number one contender for the US title against AJ Styles
