Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that while the WWE has been looking at Ronda Rousey v Charlotte Flair for Wrestlemania 35, they are now shifting the focus to a possible showdown between Rousey and Becky Lynch.

According to Meltzer, Charlotte does not have any heat with the WWE. The change in direction being considered is strictly the result of how much momentum Becky Lynch has gathered since Summerslam.

The idea is that while Charlotte v Rousey is a bigger match from a historical standpoint, Rousey v Lynch might be the match that fires up the fan base.

It’s only October and Wrestlemania 35 is a ways off. A lot could change between now and then, but it’s very possible that Becky Lynch could be in line for a major spot on the show.
