According to PW Insider, SmackDown Live will be undergoing a name change when the program begins airing on the Fox network staring next Friday. Reports are that the blue-brands new moniker will be WWE Friday Night Smackdown, which will include a new logo, marketing promotion and commentary references.

Since it’s debut in 1999, SmackDown has gone through many network and name changes, including a brief period when the flagship show would tape on Tuesday nights and air on Thursdays. Their new five-year deal with Fox is worth close to a billion dollars.
