After Becky Lynch won the women’s Royal Rumble, it has been the assumption of the majority of wrestling fans that the Wrestlemania 35 show-closer was going to be Lynch and Ronda Rousey’s much anticipated encounter.
According to Dave Meltzer and “The Wrestling Observer”, that assumption might be premature. Meltzer continues to stand by his original story that Charlotte Flair will be added to make the match a triple threat, contrary to other reports.
Meltzer also noted that the WWE has used the term “main-event” to describe both Rousey v Lynch as well as Lesnar v ROllins. He goes onto state that Vince generally doesn’t decide which match will close Wrestlemania until one or two weeks prior to the show.
While it is still entirely possible that Becky v Ronda and/or a triple threat match including Charlotte will close Wrestlemania 35, it is far from a done deal.
