While the WWE advertised that the attendance for Super Showdown was over 70,000 people, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that the actual figure was a lot closer to 62,000. While still a massive turnout, this number falls far short of a sellout, as the stadium capacity is over 100,000 people.
It should be noted that it is common practice for the WWE to inflate their attendance figures, as they have been doing so since the early days of Wrestlemania.
John Cena became the butt of many jokes from fans on social media over the new hairstyle he donned at Super Showdown. Cena himself joined in on the fun, taking to social media to belittle himself.
