Title fights for Jordynne Grace and Mustafa Ali added to TNA Slammiversary

on

The title picture in TNA is taking shape for Slammiversary with Jordynne Grace and Mustafa Ali booked for championship defenses.

Grace opened Impact (July 27, 2024) in the mood for a fight. She was at her wit’s end with Ash by Elegance, so the only way to settle the beef was to smash. Grace approached TNA management to arrange a Knockouts Championship title shot for Ash, and it was supposed to be that same night. Not so fast, Juggernaut.

Ash answered the call, but she wasn’t going to wrestle in the disgusting city of Chicago. Ash postponed the bout for Slammiversary. In the meantime, her personal concierge sent security to remove Grace from the building. The Juggernaut ran roughshod through the goons until Director of Authority Santino Marella calmed her down.

Watch Grace kick ass in the clip.

Ali held a State of the Union Address to claim that footage of him badmouthing his hometown of Chicago was a farce and created by AI. The topic turned to finding the next challenger for the X-Division Championship. The rambunctious crowd suggested “Speedball” Mike Bailey. Ali claimed that he wasn’t ducking Speedball. When the chants were more persistent, Ali requested that a group of trolls be removed. After a drink was thrown on Ali, he lost his cool to attack a fan.

Bailey ran in for the save, and a melee ensued. Speedball stood tall holding the belt. Ali was sick of it, so the champion issued a challenge for Slammiversary.

The card for Slammiversary on July 20 from Montreal currently includes:

  • TNA World Championship: Moose (c) vs. Josh Alexander vs. Steve Maclin vs. Nic Nemeth vs. TDB (Frankie Kazarian or Mike Santana) vs. TBD (Joe Hendry or Jake Something)
  • Knockouts Championship: Jordynne Grace (c) vs. Ash by Elegance
  • X-Division Championship: Mustafa Ali (c) vs. Mike Bailey
