WWE Great Balls of Fire may be one of the least popular names for a pay-per-view in history, but the upcoming show has a serious amount of potential.

Here’s a look at the most likely championships to have new owners by the end of Great Balls of Fire: including one which may surprise a few people.

WWE Raw Tag Team Championships

Sheamus and Cesaro had been long overdue a run with the titles and were worthy winners at Extreme Rules. However, it’s hard to imagine The Hardy Boyz not getting their hands on the straps again at some point in the near future.

So if, as expected, the two teams are pitted against one another at Great Balls of Fire, there could be a very realistic chance that Matt and Jeff could take back the Raw Tag Team Championships.

WWE Cruiserweight Championship

After several months of seemingly holding WWE’s cruiserweight division up by himself, could he really drop it in the coming weeks at Great Balls of Fire?

It’s not impossible.

Neville has seen off challenges from the likes of former champion Rich Swann and Austin Aries in recent months, but the prospect of Akira Tozawa reigning supreme among the cruiserweights is an interesting one.

They will surely meet at Great Balls of Fire and despite Neville looking almost untouchable of late, Tozawa is a very genuine and credible threat to Neville’s reign as the King of the Cruiserweights.

WWE Universal Championship

If their first real interaction is anything to go by, WWE fans are in for a treat when Samoa Joe and Brock Lesnar collide at Great Balls of Fire.

That huge brawl which had to be split by almost all of Raw’s roster set the tone for their bout at Great Balls of Fire. And when they do meet on pay-per-view, it’s beginning to look more and more likely that Joe could emerge victorious.

It was reported only last week by Randall Ortman at Cageside Seats that WWE officials are apparently happy with the start of the feud.
