Two behemoths will take center stage Monday night as Raw continues its build to its Fastlane pay-per-view on March 5.

The massive Braun Strowman has been on a roll of late, but he will be faced with his most intimidating and imposing challenge to date when he battles Big Show in singles competition.

That match may be the night’s only announced contest, but several events from last week’s show have the Feb. 20 broadcast, emanating from Los Angeles’ famed Staples Center, shaping up to be the most compelling of 2017.

What will universal champion Kevin Owens have to say about his shocking betrayal of Chris Jericho from a week ago? What excuses will Charlotte Flair make for losing the Raw Women’s Championship to Bayley?

Thanks to WWE.com and an interesting social media post from one of wrestling’s biggest stars, we have an idea of what to expect from Monday’s three-hour broadcast on USA Network.

On Tap

Big Show vs. Braun Strowman is, visually, an impressive match. Two gigantic Superstars whose athleticism is vastly superior to that of the big men who competed in bygone eras, they have the potential to deliver a satisfying heavyweight brawl.

The contest should put Strowman over strongly as he prepares to combat Roman Reigns at Fastlane. Speaking of The Big Dog, do not be surprised to see the three-time WWE champion appear at some point in the match, avenging a beating he suffered at the hands of Strowman two weeks ago.

A week after defeating Charlotte Flair to capture her first Raw Women’s Championship, Bayley will arrive in Los Angeles for her first episode of the flagship show as the lead female in the most prominent women’s division in wrestling.

The former champion will almost assuredly have some sort of excuse for her loss last week, citing Sasha Banks’ interference despite the fact that Dana Brooke attempted to do the same on her behalf.

Speaking of The Boss, could she have ulterior motives for helping Bayley achieve glory? Perhaps the first hint of her motivations will become clearer Monday.

What will Kevin Owens’ explanation for his shocking betrayal of best friend Chris Jericho be when the universal champion takes to the squared circle for the Feb. 20 broadcast?

The angle, arguably the best wrestling betrayal since Shawn Michaels tossed Marty Jannetty through the window on The Barber Shop, reinvigorated Owens’ heel persona. How WWE follows that up Monday night could determine how much heat the impending program between him and Jericho generates.

News, Potential Spoilers

Early Monday afternoon, WWE announced on its official website that Diamond Dallas Page will be the next inductee into the 2017 Hall of Fame class.

That announcement is typically coupled with a video package that debuts for the first time on Raw. That will likely be the case Monday night, as WWE already hit its official YouTube page with an onslaught of DDP matches and segments.

Even earlier in the day, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson caused a stir by announcing on social media that his Seven Bucks Productions’ film, Fighting with My Family (based on former Divas champion Paige’s family), was shooting in L.A.’s Staples Center.
