The pay-per-view opened with a video package looking at the main event with an animated narration by John Malkovich.
Michelle Waterson vs. Felice Herrig
Round 1: Herrig spent the majority of the round chasing down Waterson. Waterson lands some kicks. Herrig landed some punches and they clinched. Herrig spent the rest of the round maintaining control in the clinch while landing some knees.
Round 2: Herrig maintained control early and used her strength advantage to push Waterson to the cage. Waterson landed some knees in the clinch. Herrig maintained control with the clinch, although Waterson landed some strikes. Waterson finally broke free and hit a judo throw to take Herrig to the ground. Waterson spent the rest of the round on top in Herrig’s guard landing forearms and punches from the top.
Round 3: Waterson tried a throw again, but Herrig shifted her weight to land on top. From the bottom, Waterson landed some nasty elbows. Waterson continued to stay busy while on her back, landing strikes and doing damage. The fighters were eventually stood up and Waterson went for a takedown, but Herrig defended. Herrig pushed Waterson against the cage again, but Waterson was able to break free. They traded strikes on their feet, with Waterson landing a front kick to Herrig’s face. Waterson landed some knees before the end of the round.
Michelle Waterson defeated Felice Herrig via unanimous decision (30-26, 29-28, 30-27).
After the fight, Waterson said that she should be in title contention. She wants to be a superhero in the cage and a superstar on the big screen. She said she wants to be the first UFC Champion that’s a mom. Waterson thanks Herrig and noted how they both have been in the sport for a long time. She added that she was happy to be able to incorporate things from practice in her fights.
Derrick Lewis vs. Alexander Volkov
Round 1: Volkov landed a body shot early and followed up with some big punches. Lewis’ eye appears to be injured. Volkov landed a big uppercut and more big punches. Lewis survived and got poked in the eye, causing a break in the action. Once the action resumed, Volkov landed some more punches. Lewis tried a takedown, but Volkov took Lewis down. They got back to their feet and Lewis tagged Volkov. Volkov was able to get a takedown with about a minute and a half to go. Volkov landed elbows to the body and face. Volkov took Lewis’ back, but Lewis was able to defend a rear naked choke. Lewis managed to get on top and land some big punches. Lewis got to his feet as the round ended.
Round 2: Volkov landed some big shots early. Volkov controlled the fight on the feet, although Lewis would have some spurts where he’d land a punch. Volkov kept landing front kicks to the body. Lewis landed an uppercut late in the round which caused Volkov’s mouthpiece to fall out, causing a break in the action. As soon as the fight restarted, the buzzer sounded to end the round. Round 3: Both men have slowed down. Lewis went for a takedown and ended up on the ground, but Volkov let him back up. Volkov landed a flurry that almost appeared to end the fight, but Lewis survived. Volkov with more punches and attacking Lewis’ injured eye. Volkov with some hard leg kicks and kicks to the body. Lewis had a nice flurry with about 80 seconds left in the fight. Lewis landed a huge right that knocked Volkov to the ground. Lewis followed up with some brutal ground and pound and knocked Volkov out with seconds left!

After the fight, Lewis took the top layer of his shorts off. Joe Rogan asked why he did that, and Lewis replied, “because my balls got hot.” Lewis said Donald Trump called him to knock Volkov out and said something about Trump and Putin. Lewis said he’s not ready to fight for the title and needs to work on his cardio. Lewis then told Rogan that he might go on Rogan’s show and smoke some weed with him in the next couple of weeks.
Ovince Saint Preux vs. Dominick Reyes
Round 1: Both men exchanged kicks early, with one of Reyes’ kicks briefly knocking OSP to the ground. Reyes pushed OSP to the cage and they clinched. OSP tried a takedown, but Reyes was able to defend. OSP had Reyes against the cage and was looking for a takedown, but Reyes landed some nasty elbows. OSP finally got a takedown, but Reyes scrambled back to his feet. Reyes pushed OSP against the cage and landed some hard strikes. OSP is wobbly. Reyes landed some more hard kicks and punches. Reyes is picking OSP apart with his stand-up.
Round 2: OSP with some body kicks early. Reyes landing kicks to the body and legs. OSP landed a big leg kick. Reyes has slowed down this round. OSP has a cut on his head. Much slower, closer round than the first, but still a clear round for Reyes.
Round 3: Reyes landed some kicks early on. The pace has definitely slowed significantly. OSP went for a combination, but Reyes connected with an uppercut. OSP stunned Reyes with a left, but managed to stay standing. OSP pushed Reyes against the cage. Reyes was able to reverse and get away from the cage. Leg kicks from Reyes. OSP is limping, but is continuing to move forward. Reyes landed a high kick. Reyes tagged OSP right at the buzzer and knocked OSP out. It looked like a knockout, but there is confusion if it’s a knockout or going to the judges.
Dominick Reyes defeated Ovince Saint Preux via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
After the fight, Reyes put OSP over. He said that he put in the hard work and knew he would win. Reyes finished his promo asking EA to put him in the UFC video game.
Tony Ferguson vs. Anthony Pettis
Round 1: Pettis attacked Ferguson’s knee early. Ferguson had knee surgery just six months ago. Ferguson is limping a little. Ferguson landed some kicks of his own. Ferguson is chasing Pettis down putting the pressure on him. Ferguson is nailing Pettis with kicks and punches. Pettis is noticeably slowing down. The finishing minute sees Ferguson continuing to hunt Pettis down and landing some big punches as the round ends.
Round 2: Pettis hurt Ferguson early and took him to the ground. Ferguson is bleeding badly from the month. Pettis is in Ferguson’s guard. Pettis is cut too. Ferguson makes his way to his feet and the doctor is asked to check out Pettis’ cut, which is in his hairline. Pettis is cleaned off and the fight is back underway. Pettis missed a cartwheel kick. Ferguson with some kicks and body shots. We’re only halfway through the round. Ferguson started landing some big shots and Pettis reciprocated. Both men are just exchanging blows. Ferguson landed more hard shots to end the round. Great round! Pettis reveals to his corner that his hand is broken and his coach, Duke Roufus, calls off the fight.

After the fight, Ferguson called Conor McGregor a “piece of sh-t” and said that he’ll kick his ass if Nurmagomedov doesn’t. Ferguson said he had fun and thanked the fans and cut off his interview before saying, “I’m f–king back!”
Pettis said he had a great time, but broke his hand. He called Ferguson “a tough Mexican” and gave him his props. Pettis said he had a great time and can’t wait to do it again.
UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor
Round 1: As expected, both men didn’t touch gloves before the fight. Conor landing early. Conor stuffed a takedown but Khabib grabbed Conor’s ankle. Khabib held on and completed the takedown. Khabib wrapped Conor’s legs and had him pinned against the cage. Crowd is getting impatient early with Khabib keeping Conor pinned against the cage. Khabib landed some shots. Khabib smothered Conor on the ground and kept him there the rest of the round. Khabib landed a couple of punches from the top as the round ended. Khabib dominated the round, even though there wasn’t much damage done.
Round 2: Khabib landed a big right and Conor followed up with a big knee. After a quick exchange, Khabib took Conor took the ground. Khabib landing some big shots from the top. Khabib nailing Conor with big punches and elbows. Khabib is nailing Conor with huge shots from the top. Conor is hanging in there. Khabib is going for an arm triangle, but Conor defended. Conor managed to get back to his feet with about 40 seconds left. Khabib has Conor pressed against the cage. Conor hit some elbows that didn’t do much damage. Dominant round for Khabib.
Round 3: Conor lands some big shots early. Khabib looks a little slower. Conor stuffed a takedown. Khabib landed a big right. Conor stuffed another takedown and Khabib pushed him against the cage. Conor breaks free and hits a big uppercut.K They exchanged on their feet. Conor with more shots and Khabib pushed him against the cage. Khabib tripped Conor, but Conor quickly got to his feet. Khabib pressing Conor against the cage. Conor was grabbing Khabib’s glove, which is illegal. The round ended with Khabib pushing Conor against the cage.
Round 4: Conor with some big shots early. Khabib is able to trip Conor and take him to the ground. Khabib is controlling Conor on the ground and dropping some left hands. Khabib got Conor’s back and went for a rear naked choke, but it was on the chin so it was more like a neck crank and Conor submitted.

A wild scene broke out after the fight. Khabib jumped the cage and went after Conor’s team (Dillon Dannis) and started fighting with them in the crowd. Back in the cage, and a member from Khabib’s team jumped in the cage and started punching McGregor. It was eventually broken up. Khabib finally got back in the ring. Daniel Cormier and Luke Rockhold are in the cage to calm teammate Khabib down.
