According to Showbuzz Daily, last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown drew an average of 2.543 million viewers, with a 0.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic, the highest of the night. This is a return to form for WWE, who last week only scored 888,000 viewers airing on FS1 due to the MLB World Series, and a bump from two weeks ago when they were at 2.41. The program came in at #8 behind 20/20, Magnum P.I., Blue Bloods, The Blacklist, Dateline NBC, American Housewife, and Hawaii Five-O.

If you missed it, last night’s episode featured a massive NXT invasion to build to this year’s Survivor Series pay per view, and was headlined by Adam Cole and Daniel Bryan facing each other for the first time ever with the NXT championship on the line. The show, written by Vince McMahon and approved by Triple H, was thrown together at the last minute due to a portion of the main roster being detained in Saudi Arabia following Crown Jewel.
