Wednesday Cheese Curds: Can the Packers’ offense live up to its potential?

on

The Packers look ready to take a big step. Can they do it?

The impending explosion of the Packers offense has been discussed by so many people so often (including me, literally yesterday) that at a certain point I almost want to be contrarian.

Will the young players all take a step forward together? Will Jordan Love build on his second half? Will the offensive line produce another capable group effort? Surely not all these things can happen at once, right?

Well, maybe not. But still, there are a lot of reasons to be optimistic. Even if only some of those things happen, or all of them happen but by degrees over the course of the season, or they all reach their fullest potential but at different times, there is still a lot of talent on this roster. They still are capable of big things.

Whether or not they manage to do those big things is the question, but that’s nothing new. “Will the team reach its potential?” this the question literally every team faces every season, and no matter what happens this year, the Packers’ potential still seems to be through the roof.
