That would be different. A heel turn can be a major change for any wrestler as it sends them down a new path. If a wrestler has not been turned that way in a long time, the impact can be all the greater. We saw quite the devastating heel turn earlier this week and now it seems that not only was the original plan going to be rather different, it was going to take place much earlier.

This week on Monday Night Raw, the New Day broke up with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods turning on Big E. and leaving him out of the team. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the original plan for the turn would have seen Odyssey Jones teaming with Kingston and Woods, who would have sided with Jones instead of Big E. However, Jones was fired from WWE in September, causing a change in plans.
This would have been different. Check out the turn, plus the team with both Jones and Big E.:

Opinion: That does make a bit more sense, though at the end of the day I can’t really picture New Day splitting up that way. Then again, I couldn’t quite picture them splitting up at all and we saw them do just that earlier this week. It was something that was so long in the making that it was hard to believe and now it seems that it wasn’t even WWE’s original plan.
