When does Dota 2’s Crownfall Act 3 release?

Dota 2’s ongoing event, Crownfall is continuing at pace, and it’s already the last week of June 2024 but there’s no sight of Crownfall Act 3 releasing yet. So what gives?

The timeline set by Valve for the release of Crownfall Act 3 is set for late June 2024, so surely, we can take Valve’s words that Act 3 will release this week or, at the latest, by next week, right? Lets try to answer the question of when Dota 2’s Crownfall Act 3 is releasing below.

When is Crownfall Act 3 release date?

As mentioned, the scheduled release date for Act 3 was late June. However, that’s a rather broad range and long waiting time, especially for Dota 2 players who already completed Act 1-2. Since the elusive Firebug Thorax quest and Candle Token quest stood no chance, players are eagerly awaiting the next release.

Fortunately, there’s a high likelihood that Crownfall Act 3 will release within the next couple days from the time of this article’s publishing (June 26). The Dota 2 dev team has a habit of releasing major releases on Thursdays, Seattle time, or comically known as “Valve time” by Dota 2 fans. As a result, we can hold onto the hope that the wait is merely two days.

Tuesdays are also another common release window, again late in the evening PT time. This would mean Crownfall Act 2 would release on July 2. Alternatively, we might have to wait another full week for July 4.

What to expect in Crownfall Act 3?

Crownfall Act 3 release date aside, it’s the contents which come along with this update that is truly exciting.

Ringmaster’s release?

Firstly, the new Dota 2 hero, Ringmaster, might finally make its debut after extended waiting. For the uninitiated, we have been waiting for the new hero’s arrival since October last year. While we are excited for Ringmaster to wreck havoc on Dota 2 meta, there’s a good possibility of Ringmaster releasing during the International 2024 (TI13) instead.

Crownfall Collector’s Cache?

Then, there’s the possibility of the Crownfall Collector’s Cache. After thousands of community voting on their favorite workshop sets, the Collector’s Cache might be ready. Additionally, the high number of sets up for vote means we could get two releases of Collector’s Cache.

Free Crownfall Act 3 Quests, Treasures and Rewards!

Lastly, Act 3 will come with more unlocked quests and rewards up for grabs. Just another treat to keep us busy until TI13 arrives. With that, we can also expect Crownfall Treasure IV too. Unlike the Collector’s Cache, the Crownfall Treasure series does not come with shiny particles or ambient. Nevertheless, they are free, and the sets’ designs aren’t too shabby themselves.

There is a lot to be excited about from the release of Crownfall Act 3. This is the time of the year when, traditionally, Battle Passes would be all the craze.

With the Crownfall 2024 event being the alternative to its predecessor, it begs the question of whether fans are enjoying the fun mini games of Crownfall more than splurging in Battle Pass.
