They have a plan. There are all kinds of titles under the WWE banner and some of them have been around for quite a long time. Those titles can be rather different in a lot of ways but each of them have one thing in common: they all have to have an inaugural title holder. That is going to be the case again in the near future as another first champion will be crowned. Now we have a better idea of who that might be.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WRESTLING RUMORS: Major Return Possible For WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event
Earlier this year, WWE announced the Women’s United States Title, with a tournament being held to crown the first champion culminating this weekend at Saturday Night’s Main Event. According to Chris Featherstone, the current plans call for Chelsea Green to win the tournament and be crowned the inaugural champion. The semifinals are set to take place this week on SmackDown.

Opinion: This is something that could go in a good way as Green has done quite a few nice things over the course of the year. She has earned a singles title run of her own and it would be a worthy reward after everything she has done. Hopefully she gets her chance, and assuming WWE doesn’t change its mind at the last minute, that is what we might be seeing this weekend.
