the next pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE schedule is the Elimination Chamber event set to take place on Sun., Feb. 12, 2017, at the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona. This will be a SmackDown Live exclusive show, and marks the return of the concept after a one year hiatus.
We’re just one week away from showtime and here’s what the promotion has in store so far:
– WWE championship Elimination Chamber match
The participants, which were announced on SmackDown Live last week: John Cena (the champion) defending against The Miz, Bray Wyatt, Dean Ambrose, AJ Styles, and Baron Corbin
– Alexa Bliss vs. Naomi (Women’s championship)
Naomi has scored a couple pinfall victories over the champ in recent weeks, so she’s getting the chance to do so with the gold on the line.
– Tag team turmoil (Tag team championship)
American Alpha asked for a challenger to step up and the entire division wanted a piece. That led to a tag team turmoil match for the straps. Teams involved: The Usos, Breezango, The Ascension, The Vaudevillains, Heath Slater & Rhyno
– Nikki Bella vs. Natalya
They’ve been going at it for weeks now, and it’s time to settle the score.
That’s all the matches that have been officially announced but Randy Orton vs. Luke Harper and Dolph Ziggler vs. Apollo Crews are also earmarked for the show, according to the Observer. There’s also the possibility they’ll do Becky Lynch vs. Mickie James, considering they’re involved in a program right now.
