According to The Sun and Business Insider, the 23-time Grand Slam tennis champion Serena Williams is being eyeballed by the WWE as another top signing for their thriving women’s division. The report states that Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon mentioned Serena by name as someone she’d like to bring higher prestige to the WWE.

Serena’s early accomplishments can be traced back to the late 90s when she and her sister Venus won numerous doubles championships on their way to becoming the top ranked players in the world. Her most recent Wimbledon tutu attire and antics towards a line judge drew criticism, but also brought mainstream attention to the double-standard that female athletes are forced to endure.
