Last week, Vince McMahon made the surprise appearance and announced the two-night superstar shakeup from Raw and Smackdown Live. Now on 10th april edition of Raw, Will we see fresh faces for both brands? Will we see champions move? Speaking of champions, who will Brock Lesnar’s next challenger be?
The Superstar Shakeup begins
As Mr. McMahon said this past Monday night, “it’s time to shake things up around here,” and on Raw, emanating from the new Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, N.Y., a Superstar Shake-up will begin that will allow representatives from both Raw and SmackDown LIVE to make trades, deals and other moves to bolster their respective rosters.
Finn Bálor is back!
Last week, Finn Balor made his return to in-ring competition as he replaced a hurt Chris Jericho and teamed up with former rival Set Rollins to take on WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe in a Tag Team Match. Nostalgia would fill the air of the Amway Center as Balor would hit Owens with the Coup de Grâce to seal the victory for his team.
Now with Balor back, he sure would stake his claim for the title he never technically lost, to begin with. Will he challenge WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar or will he try to trim down the list of other candidates first?
Who will challenge The Beast Incarnate?
Speaking of WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar, there are a plethora of worthy challengers for his belt. Seth Rollins slayed the king of kings, Roman Reigns now owns the yard, Finn Balor is still owed a chance to regain the belt he never lost, and now Braun Strowman added himself to that list and proclaimed his own worthiness.
With the champion having the liberty of choice, will he choose the one that offers him the most challenge or would he choose to take the easy route?
Cesaro & Sheamus lock onto The Hardys’ titles
The Hardy Boys picked up from where they left off the last time they teamed inside a WWE ring years back when they won the RAW Tag Team Championship in a Ladder Match at WrestleMania a week ago. Matt and Jeff Hardy might be on a quest for gold but it wouldn’t be easy for them on the bigger stage especially when guys like Sheamus and Cesaro are standing in their way.
The two powerhouses won a Number One Contender’s match for the titles when they beat Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson last week. Now that the match has been set, will the high flyers continue to soar or would the hard hitters ram their way through?
Will the shakeup affect the RAW Women’s Division?
The Red Brand’s Women’s Division is filled with competitors who’s goal is to destroy and dominate rather than their setting tones with their own unique characters. The Women of the WWE roster are definitely not safe from the changes that are to come. Will we see a change in scenery or challengers for champions Bayley and Naomi?
On that note…
Since we have been mentioning change in sceneries since the start of this preview, would we see more NXT Call-Ups as well? or maybe an Invasion? Let’s stay tuned and find out in this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW.
