WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has been at the helm of the company since 1982. At 71 years old, the constant back and forth across the country can be a lot for someone of that age. According to Cageside Seats, Vince McMahon was not present for WWE Payback last Sunday, nor was he at Monday Night RAW & Smackdown Live the following days after WWE Payback.

There has been many speculations as to why McMahon was not at any of the events that took place earlier this week and most are relating it back to McMahon’s age. Despite whatever the reason may be, McMahon is still active as seen by WWE releasing its first quarter earnings and McMahon releasing a statement on behalf of the company: “We are pleased with the continued growth of WWE Network, which is a critical building block of our content strategy. The recent production of WrestleMania set records for network viewership as well as digital and social engagement.” (transcript via WrestlingINC)

Vince McMahon is a very busy man and his absence may have been a result of just that, or, the chairman may be slowing down in terms of being present at every WWE event. We will only see as time goes on and more reports will follow up from Cageside Seats report of McMahon not being at Payback, RAW & Smackdown Live.
