According to Fightful, WWE will be returning to Saudi Arabia on May 3rd for the third time in two years following the Greatest Royal Rumble and Crown Jewel events. This fits the timetable of an earlier report made by the Wrestling Observer that said the WWE will be back in the Middle East in May and November of 2019.

This past November’s Crown Jewel show, recently referred to as the World Cup by the WWE commentary team, was met with wide controversy due to the Saudi Arabian Crown Prince’s (Mohammed Bin Salman) potential involvement in the murder of Washing Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Despite pushback from several elected officials, the WWE decided to continue with the event, which saw Brock Lesnar begin his second Universal Title reign, and Shane McMahon be crowned the World Cup winner as best wrestler in the world.
